Farmers Market, Burger Lounge, and Wholefoods!
Saturday, January 2, 2010
This afternoon, Sean and I went to the Farmers Market. I didn't take many pictures, but it was a nice little experience. The Farmers Market was in the district of Little Italy, it's such a cute district, there are many mom and pop italian eateries, bakeries, and cafes.
I've never tried Macaroons, so I was excited to try them! I got chocolate and coffee.
We both took bites from each of them, my favorite was coffee.
We were hungry after browsing, so we decided to go to Burger Lounge since it was down the street.
Eating Grass-Fed beef is so much different than Grain-Fed beef patties.
I can't really describe it, but it's the way that beef is SUPPOSE to taste.
I've been wanting to try the salad for quite sometime and I finally got it!
(with the veggie patty on the side)
it was so delicious, ohhh my gahhh!
Of course I cleaned my plate, soooo amazing.
The Lemon-Basil Vinagrette was hands down perfect.
Later that night we went to Whole Foods.
I ended up getting Spelt cakes and Tempt.
We ate several spoonfuls in the dining area before heading out. The Mint Chip flavor is my favorite.
Last but not least, the ingredients for the veggie burger seemed so simple to make.
I went to our local supermarket to buy the ingredients minus the mushrooms. I'll whip out my magic bullet and can't wait to make it tomorrow!
I just started writing a food journal and need to make a workout journal to track my progress for my goal of leaning down for 2010. I've been looking at competition dates and am still deciding. Most importantly, it's a lot of money! so I need to save up.
Are you having fun?

Og gal, where do I start! I had pistachio macaroons from a local bakery one time; to die for! That salad and veggie burger looked great, I am sure my plate would have looked the same.
I want to try tempt soo bad. I would eat it all in one sitting though.
I am working on a food and exercise log also. Comptetition; cool! Keep it up. Look forward to your home made veggie buger.
