whey protein and a new website

Howdy folks!

My day wasn't very exciting. It just involved driving my grandpa to the doctor's, visiting my dad, working out, and babysitting.

On my last post, I mentioned how Splenda gives me headaches. I'm not sure if that is the still the culprit, but I'm at least 90% certain. So I've eliminated it from my diet and I really miss Stevia (we shall soon reunite the next time I go grocery shopping). Since I didn't have anything to sweeten my oats on hand this morning, (no agave either) I sliced up half a banana on my oats. Totally made up for it!

Since I didn't take pictures, my morning eats from yesterday will make up for it.

Last night I couldn't really sleep. I think it's because I messed up my internal clock ever since school was let out (sleeping in late and waking up embarassingly late). I need to make it a habit to sleep early and wake up early so that the progress of getting ready for school is easier for me once it starts. The only thing that sucks is that my Tues/Thurs classes won't let us off til 10pm! Darn labs...

While I was struggling to sleep in bed a few days ago, I stared at my ceiling and thought about random things. One random thought came to mind was how bad smelling and tasting my Whey Protein was. It smelt like spoiled milk, and I thought it was just my imagination that it tasted weird, maybe because I associated the smell along with it, maybe it was a mind over matter deal? it was not. I was bummed out that I couldn't use my Whey in my oats to make an Over-night Oat, because the smell would've made me lose my appetite.

An idea sprang that night that I should e-mail the company. So I emailed them the next day and got an immediate response. Today I came to my moms house with a package waiting for me. And it was this

I was thrilled and I think I smelled the inside container 6-7 times before I was convinced it was legit!
I was happy at how fast and responsive the company was, def a keeper.

I was just thrilled that I didn't have to spend more $$$ for new Whey.
I'm also looking into other tasty whey options as well, I love looking at Bodybuilding.com and reading product reviews. So I have a while to figure what I want before I run out of this tub. Any suggestions?

The only protein I've ever found tasty when mixed with water is the BSN Desserts and Syntha-6, they are soooo delicious, but unforch I'm looking for just 100% Whey.

I packed lunch/snack/dinner today
It's just my lunch and dinner pictured.

I used The George, I love George! it makes my chicken so enjoyable.
I hate cleaning up the George, so to make it simple, I covered the grill in foil sheets and it still worked.

And since I can't go to Starbucks (I do miss it very much)
I resort to drinking coffee at home, misto style:
1/2 hot Vanilla Soymilk and 1/2 Instant coffee (all ready in water)
and a splash of Vanilla Extract.
My friend S actually likes it.
I enjoy it too, so it makes me miss Starbucks a little less...maybe?

Today I just did 40 minutes of Cardio and after I was done I attempted to do back workouts. By this time I was extremely starved! I couldn't even concentrate because my hunger was a little unbearable. Plus my biceps and shoulders were still very SORE from yesterdays Mondays workout, it was so sore that my form didn't feel very proper. Tomorrow I will attempt to do back and chest again.

On one last note, I've been using this website called caloriecount to log in what I eat and most importantly get my estimates on my protein, carb, and fat intake. It's really helpful and so easy to use. I actually enjoy using this.

Before your food logs in the system, they ask you for the oz, cup, grams, etc.
Can you spot my unhealthy eat for the day? oh boy, this involves some journal writing tonight!

And it also gives you a report, okay B plus (not that bad, I'm not suprised it's not an A!)
yikes, am I content? not really, but I will try again tomorrow.

Ha, well it's been a week since I made the spending goal. Proud to say I kept my word, but getting car fuel is a $%#%! but I'm just going to stick to this goal a little longer to make it a habit not to shop. I'm a frequent grocier, I go on a lot of unnecessary grocery trips.

Hope you have a great week!

I've never had whey protein before - good to know!

I had been using All The Whey Protein Isolate, my favorite flavor being Cake Batter, which smells decent and tastes fantastic. It contains Splenda, however, next time I'm ordering from their sister company, Muscle Gauge, which has the same products but are made with Stevia instead. I'll letcha know how it is :) Oh and I like keeping a food journal too, guess it satisfies my A-typeness :p

I love me some starbucks, but it can be too expensive sometimes. I like to make my own at home too.

Hey chicky- love the homemade misto :) My go to for protein is Jay Robb's Egg white protein. I get it in the Strawberry flavor- but its really good in chocolate and vanilla too. Very cool that the company sent you a new container! Enjoy your weekend
